Annie: Country Club Hills tutor
Certified Tutor
Currently, I tutor in essay writing and English.
My teaching philosophy is existential. I firmly believe that every learner is unique and that tutoring should be geared towards individual differences. Through learning, we come to better understand ourselves!
I am passionate about tutoring because I love helping people, and I also love simplifying difficult concepts in a way that feels fun and easy to understand.
For three years, I tutored third to sixth graders in Hebrew and Jewish studies. As well, I worked with students who were hard-of-hearing, and have autism and ADHD.
I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. I also had heavy coursework in Literature and Philosophy.
Currently, I am working towards my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. I carry forth my love of writing and helping others each day in my program. I am understanding about the importance of mental health in a fast-paced and stressful school system. Feel free to share things about your life with me! I can be a listening ear for you.
If you feel we would be a match, feel free to reach out! I would love to help you achieve your goals.
