I graduated from the University of Florida in 2010 with a degree in Parks and Recreation, with a specialization in Event Management. In 2016, I decided to leave my successful sales career to pursue a career in medicine. I enrolled at Augusta University and obtained all the necessary prerequisites to apply to medical school. After receiving a humbling denial from the Medical College of Georgia in 2020 (the only medical school I applied to), I enrolled in an online MBA program in an effort to strengthen my application and will be re-applying to MCG during the next application cycle.
During my time at Augusta University, I discovered my passion for science, especially Organic Chemistry. While I am by no-means a "science prodigy", I do consider myself a science enthusiast and I find that connecting concepts with real world applications often gives students a unique perspective and oftentimes, clarification of challenging topics.
I am a firm believer in ASKING QUESTIONS! You know that kid in your class who sits in the front row and seems to have 27 questions on each topic? Yup- that was me! My philosophy- there are NO dumb quesitions. If you don't ask, then you may never know! In my experience, many students hesitate and often do not ask questions in class. No worries, bring all of your questions to me! If I don't know the answer, then I will find it for you ;-)
