Isabella: Smithtown tutor
Certified Tutor
I am an alumna of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a double minor in French and Chemistry. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Mental Health at Johns Hopkins University. I've had the opportunity to work with children in my community over the past 6 years as a tutor, mentor, Sunday school teacher, and summer camp counselor. I absolutely love teaching and if I were not pursuing medicine I would become a teacher because children have a way of teaching you more about life than you can ever teach them. Over the years, I've worked with many students ranging from the age of 5 up until high school tutoring and mentoring them in a variety of subjects including algebra, geometry, reading comprehension, writing, and science. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the immense value of education and it is my desire to empower every student to reach their full academic potential by bridging knowledge gaps and encouraging them to believe in their intellectual capabilities. Whenever I am not catching up on lectures or studying for an upcoming exam, you will find me at your nearest coffee shop!
