Hello, my name is Teacher Shannon! I live in Altoona, Pennsylvania. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University. I have taught elementary school for the past 17 years and have taught in 1st grade for the past 14 years. I have experience teaching students one on one for the past 17 years. I was also an After School Program Director for 2 years for ages 7-12 and taught Preschool which ranged from ages 3-5 years old. I absolutely love teaching children and love making children smile through the world of learning! My class goals are to make learning fun, exciting and educational. I am passionate about teaching reading and math to primary students. I love showing them different strategies to help them achieve their reading and math skills. This creates a love of learning!!I prefer online tutoring and I am in experienced in this type of instruction. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family! We love to spend our time together at Disney World!

Hobbies

My absolute favorite thing is to travel to Disney World with my family! I enjoy everything Disney!! Another one of my favorite things to do is...create my own sets of Disney Minnie Ears. I might even sometimes wear these special ears to class!! My favorite time of year is Fall and Thanksgiving/Christmas. It is such an exciting time of year and I love spending that special time with my family!
