Certified Tutor

I am currently a second year Kindergarten teacher in a K-5th grade suburban elementary school. I have an undergraduate background in Psychology as well as a Master of Science in Childhood, Early Childhood and Literacy Education, both from Binghamton University in upstate New York. Having done three semesters of student teaching throughout my graduate coursework, I have extensive experience working with students with a variety of learning abilities within the K-5th grade range in both general and special education classrooms. Additionally, I have been a weekly volunteer tutor at Gigi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center for over two years. My philosophy of education is grounded in building strong, meaningful relationships with my students, encouraging a growth mindset to persevere through challenges with resiliency, and most of all developing lifelong learners!
