I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Licensed Massage Therapist and hold a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Arts in Oriental Medicine, as well as an Associate of Arts from Daytona State College.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of science and the human body and how it functions. My teaching experience and medical practice have given me the opportunity to keep the necessary knowledge in the forefront. I believe it is important to teach with many approaches as to help students of all types, such as visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners understand complicated information. Additionally, where possible, I use analogies to help students understand concepts from a point of view they may be more familiar with in everyday life. I had the opportunity to gain teaching experience both in New York and Florida, teaching massage therapy between 2004 and 2006, but then chose to focus on my practice and expanding my own education for the last several years. I would now like to share my passion for understanding the human body and how it works with future graduates pursuing careers in all aspects of health and science. I look forward to the opportunity to share my expertise.
