I was the first English student to be granted the "Erasmus+ Scholarship for Academic Excellence" by my department, through which I studied abroad at the University of Oslo, nationally ranked #1 in Norway. I recently graduated with a BA in English Literature, focused on writing, from the American University of Beirut (AUB) (ranked #2 in the Arab Region) During my time in AUB, I was one of the few undergraduate students working as a writing center tutor. Working as a tutor can be quite demanding, and it is also a very strong learning experience. Tutors must have a strong knowledge of writing, including knowledge of different genres; an understanding of researching, synthesizing, and citing sources; and an ability to explain stylistic and grammatical questions. Besides their knowledge of writing matters, they are also expected to be very attentive to the individual writers they work with, to be good listeners, to ask thought-provoking questions, and to respect every writer.

I have a command of both English and Arabic and a calm manner that is helpful in stressful situations. I was always appreciated for being reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
