Certified Tutor

I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio with a Master of Business Administration, and Concordia University in San Antonio with a Master of Education Administration. My teaching experience includes 19 years of teaching ESL in Texas public schools (2 years in elementary and 17 years in high school), as I am a certified ESL and English teacher in Texas. Although I tutor several English related subjects, I am most passionate about ensuring students are reading at or above their grade level. Over the years, I have helped, literally, hundreds of second language learners pass difficult Texas State reading and writing assessments that many American students struggle to pass. I continue to be a strong proponent of equity in education for all students, whether they be Americans or students from foreign countries. In my spare time, I enjoy improving my physical fitness by training for and running ultramarathon races (races over 26.2 miles). Another hobby I enjoy is growing vegetables, hydroponically.
