I am a graduate of The University of North Florida. My undergraduate degree is in Mass Communications/Public Relations and English Literature. My Graduate degree is a Master's in teaching: Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in K-12 reading. I have been a teacher in the public school system for 15 years. My subjects of expertise are English, Reading, Writing and Public Speaking. The motto that I try to live by is to "Find a way to do something, not an excuse to not do something." My teaching methodology is to make the content accessible and relatable to my students. If I can get students to make the right connections, they will succeed. I consider myself a lifelong learner and my current goal is to earn a doctorate degree in Teaching: Curriculum and Instruction. Cooking and trying new food flavors is a favorite past time for me. If I am watching television it is usually a documentary, historical dramatization or a comedy.
