I have been a teacher for 15 years. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Literature from Hawaii Pacific University, I went on to work in the professional training sector in London, designing an online training course for new recruiters. Then I returned stateside and earned my Masters Degree in Secondary English Education from Brooklyn College and have been a certified NYS teacher since. I see life as a never-ending opportunity to learn new things and conquer new challenges, and you have to be able to laugh at yourself along the way. In my teaching, I try to instill that joy and adventure of learning in everything I do with my students.

One of my favorite pastimes is reading or going to the library to pick out what I will read next. I'm also a big movie buff. I will always welcome a suggestion for a good movie or TV Show that you love. I love to hike, swim, and play board games with my son.
