Brittany graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with Bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She has been teaching Special Education, to students of all ages, for 7 years.

She is currently teaching third grade at a charter school designed for students with dyslexia and other language based difficulties. She started by teaching Mathematics and Science at this school, where she was trained in multi-sensory math interventions. She quickly saw the positive impact that the Orton-Gillingham based methods had on her students' reading abilities and then pursued training in the Wilson Reading System. Brittany is now a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner.
