I am an experienced, licensed teacher with an extensive background in academic intervention, and creating a safe and engaging space for students with learning differences. I have experience teaching students from kindergarten up to middle school. I specialize in all areas of literacy, including pre-reading skills, reading, grammar, poetry, children's literature, and history.
My joy as an educator, is creating joy in the learning environment, while providing students the tools, and space to think critically, and help them hone their skills of analysis. I believe in teaching students holistically, serving as a facilitator and coach. I bring every part of myself to every experience, and that includes my teaching as well. As I challenge my students with engaging lessons, I'm also challenging myself to dig deeper, learning and growing every step of the way. Nothing is more gratifying than experiencing those "aha" moments with my students. It is truly my pleasure to be in the service of young learners.
