Certified Tutor

I have been an English and history teacher for 20 years and tutored students needing help with various subjects and skills. I have worked with elementary and middle school students needing help with reading comprehension, writing skills, and enhancing or establishing their executive functioning skills. Additionally, I have worked with high school students who needed to deepen their subject comprehension and critical thinking and strengthen their writing skills. I have worked with all levels to improve their studying, organizing, writing, and reading skills and to think for themselves. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I try to give students the confidence needed in themselves to find success and joy in their learning. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, biking on and off the road, and, in general, just being outside.
