Hello! I am a lifelong French speaker passionate about teaching language, culture and French norms. Growing up in the States, French was my first written language as I attended a French immersion school from the age of 3. My family traveled to France every summer where I integrated myself in the culture and later went back to study abroad during University. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a dual degree in French Language and Literature and Communications/ Public Relations. I have tutored French for over 4 years now and have enjoyed every minute of the experience. I believe in a personalized approach to teaching French. I take my time to truly get to know my students, to keep them engaged throughout our time together. No matter the age, people enjoy speaking about themselves or their interests, so I find that focusing on those subjects are the best way to integrate French speaking into their lives. Although I emphasize and teach French grammar, I also believe it to be equally, if not more important, to enhance the oral language and listening comprehensions in French.
