Certified Tutor
I am a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology. At the moment, I am working as an EMT as I apply to medical school. During my time as an undergrad, I was a teaching assistant and tutor for the introductory biochemistry course. I cherished the opportunity to bring peace to students who were facing the stresses of college, and I have always found it equally rewarding for myself when I help a student get an idea to "click" in their head. My tutoring approach focuses on developing notetaking strategies and a systematic approach to breaking down information to form strong connections between ideas. The path to success with this method of tutoring looks different for each student, and I enjoy the process of working with them and learning how they think to figure out exactly what that looks like. I have found success using this scheme for achieving both immediate and long-term improvements in retaining information, especially in life science and math courses.

I'm a diehard New England sports fan and could talk about the Patriots for hours. In my freetime, I am usually found outside either working out, exploring the areas around me, catching up on some reading, and on some rare occasions, trying my best to do carpentry.
