Certified Tutor

I am a current student at the University of Notre Dame, and I have just completed my second year. I am working towards a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Italian Studies. Learning has always been a priority in my life, and teaching seems to be in my DNA, as I come from a line of teachers on my mom's side of the family. I found myself drawn to tutoring starting in elementary school when I took it upon myself to teach my younger brother basic algebra and found great satisfaction in watching him make progress over time. One of my favorite tutoring experiences was enabled through my Calculus class in high school - a group of my classmates and I taught Calculus concepts to 6th graders by conducting hands-on experiments, and they all caught on quickly. To me, helping others overcome academic obstacles and reach the "aha" moment is priceless.

Although I have a wide range of subjects under my wing, I prefer Math (specifically Algebra), as I have always deemed it logical and applicable to any career path. As an architecture student, I seem to be using it at all times. English also ranks high on my list of favorites. I am beyond eager to commence tutoring in a professional setting and intend on taking a step-by-step, individualistic approach to match the needs of the student. Outside of academia, I love traveling, making art, listening to all kinds of music, and being surrounded by nature.
