In today's world of technology and computing, it is important to be able to think flexibly and conceptually. I have taught from the elementary level to the graduate level. At all stages of learning, being able to understand a concept is more important than being able to do a concept.
I am a graduate from the University of Rochester where I majored in Economics. I had an emphasis on social choice theory and game theory as well as econometric analysis. Here, I understood the importance of conceptual thinking- where understanding the numbers and equations are not as important as understanding the meaning.
I am currently a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in flute performance. Previously, I did my bachelor's degree at the Eastman School of Music. Here, I learned the importance of daily practice and commitment to the fundamentals for personal growth. I also learned that any skill (including testing) can be mastered with enough practice.
