Liza: Washington Park tutor

Certified Tutor

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan working towards a Bachelor of Science in Cellular & Molecular Biology. I have prior teaching experience from working as a swim coach and lesson instructor for children, and I'm excited to expand my coaching background to tutoring! I earned college credit for all of the AP courses I took in high school and I am able to clearly articulate and involve test-taking strategies into tutoring sessions. While I am passionate about biology, math and music theory, I can tutor a broad range of subjects. A typical session will begin with introductions, and then continue into learning content by relating it back to real-life applications. In my free time, I enjoy running, music and volunteering. Learning has always been a positive influence on my life and I am excited to share it with others!
