I have been in a solutions architect or IT consulting role for well over a decade, and a half. Prior to that I was in the United States Navy and did a 5 year stint as a defense contractor, deploying IT environments on US Navy vessels. I moved into the AWS Cloud ecosystem about four years ago, and have been growing alongside the platform ever since. I am a senior solutions architect and I'm currently filling a similar role at one of AWS's premier partners, supporting the entire east coast. My job is to meet with clients, extract their business drivers, and develop custom AWS cloud solutions to transform their organization. A huge part of what I do, is education. Many clients are unfamiliar with the specifics of the relatively new public cloud environment, and it is my job to educate them and empower decision makers to make the right choices. I am excited to bring my knowledge and expertise, in AWS, to my students, and help them prepare for the extremely sought-after AWS certifications.
