I've always loved reading and writing and hope to help students who feel anxious or disengaged in their composition and literature classes find their assignments to be interesting and a joy, and not just a requirement for graduation.

I attended Seattle Central Community College and then transferred to The Evergreen State College in Olympia to complete my BA. While in college I volunteered for Seattle-area film and theater groups and worked as a writer for a film magazine. After I graduated, my husband and I moved to New York City, where we lived for five years, first in Manhattan and then in Queens. I am currently living in Spokane, WA in order to look after my aging parents.
