I grew up in India, a country that values education the most. This city gave me the exposure to a diverse population while growing up as a student and later as a microbiology lecturer.
My passion for teaching and for microbiology helped me enjoy the 12 years in academics. During this period I taught at different levels starting from diploma course, undergraduate to graduate-level courses. Thus teaching profession has given me the opportunity to interact with many types of students age-wise, caliber wise and maturity-wise. It was a wonderful and versatile experience with one common outcome that was the love for the subject of microbiology that my students developed at the end of the course. I connected with all of them through the bond of 'microbiology', a subject that I deeply love. I completed my Ph.D. in the same subject in 2017 and got the opportunity to further my research on the same topic during my post-doctoral work.
Research work helps you understand the subject in-depth and I try to make my students understand it in the same manner. When I teach I make sure I make my students understand the basic concepts well. I believe that is key to love the subject.
