I'm a recent graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. I graduated with honors in English Literature and I'm a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In my time since graduation I've been working in publishing, but I now spend my time tutoring. Outside of school, I love to play tennis on the weekends and I also practice the piano. Some of my favorite composers are Yann Tiersen and Philip Glass.

With regards to teaching, I believe in a hands on approach and a method that gives students the tools for understanding any problem they might approach. While I tutor for a variety of subjects, I am most proficient in English Literature, History , and German. With regards to standardized testing, I've had the most success working with students on the writing, critical reading, and (for the ACT) the Science section. I'm thrilled to be working as a tutor--it's a job that lets me continue learning every day.
