Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Virginia, with a degree in Media Studies. It is a passion of mine to share the knowledge I have gained in the past few years regarding literature, writing, and linguistics with my students. I can effectively tutor in these particular subjects at the elementary, high school and college level, and I am also equipped to advise on college admissions essays. My past tutoring experience includes tutoring elementary schoolers to read, advising high schoolers with college admissions and helping develop the writing skills of undergraduate students. When it comes to my pedagogical approach, I work to tailor each lesson to fit around the strengths and weaknesses of the individual. With the best learning strategy for them in mind, I seek to maximize the efforts of my students while simultaneously coaching them through how to manage their time. In each lesson it is my priority to be patient, positive, and adaptable to the needs of those I teach. I look forward to meeting you!
