I am a highly experienced chemistry instructor-researcher with a strong academic and industrial background. I did my undergraduate studies at Butler University (GPA 3.7/4.0), my doctoral work at the Ohio State University (GPA 3.8/4.0), and my post-doctoral work at University of California at Berkeley. I am well qualified to teach and particularly to tutor students in organic chemistry, advanced organic chemistry, and intro/majors general chemistry lab and lecture courses. In addition to the above subjects which I have taught several years in a university setting, I also have one-year experience teaching biochemistry related courses.

Over the past decade, I have gained considerable experience teaching both general chemistry (introductory and higher level) and organic chemistry (introductory and higher level) in several mid-size university settings. I have been quite effective in teaching/tutoring chemistry lecture and lab concepts, obtaining good teaching evaluations exceeding 4.0/5.0. In my portfolio to Varsity Tutors, I have included representative evaluation from general chemistry lecture-lab combined courses, organic chemistry lecture and honors organic chemistry lab evaluations as the organic Honors lab coordinator-instructor. Academically, I have taught at Lehigh U, Temple U, U of Wisconsin and Johnson C Smith U. Prior to my academic occupations, I worked over a decade as an industrial medicinal chemistry at S*Bio, Hoffman LaRoche, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and PTC Therapeutics, where I was part of teams that contributed to three drugs on the market. I have authorship in over 60 publications/patents to date.
