I joined the Varsity Tutors program so that I could help students in my local community succeed in their education. I also joined the program as I wanted to enhance my skills due to my status as a secondary teacher candidate with the University of Washington's teacher education program. My hobbies include playing a variety of instruments, dancing, reading, and kayaking. Some of my interests are education, world history, social justice, and advocacy. My teaching philosophy is to engrain foundational skills in my students to help them transfer said skills to help further their education as well as in their lives outside of school.
