My name is Shantia and I am a second year kindergarten teacher in Baltimore City. Prior to to teaching, I served as a resident with Urban Teachers, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa teaching English for two years in a rural setting, and served as a City Year Corps Member in Washington DC. Education is my passion and love. I love seeing a child's eye light up when they see that their data has improved. I love waking up and coming to a school to teach my students everyday.
