Certified Tutor

I graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics. While I was studying at NJIT, I worked as a Teacher's Assistant for the NJIT College-Bound Program for two summers; assisting students with their assignments and study material. I enjoy working with students in any subject area but I particularly enjoy tutoring students in mathematics. My philosophy towards learning/teaching is that learning is a very natural process but difficulty arises when students are made to fill in gaps or guess at concepts or ideas that they are unsure about. This sometimes causes students to have misconceptions that creates confusion or inconsistencies in their thinking. In recognizing this as part of the learning process I always try to be as clear and as detailed as possible in introducing students to unfamiliar subjects while constantly eliciting feedback to check their understanding.

Outside of work and academics I enjoy spending time with friends, playing soccer, table tennis, bike riding, going for walks and reading.
