Certified Tutor

As an experienced, certified science and math teacher (K-12), I feel that tutoring is ubiquitous! Good tutors recognize the importance of aligning their instruction with what's going on in the classroom and teach to the student's strengths while minimizing any weaknesses. A tutor who just sees a student once a week needs to respect how much learning is happening in the student's classroom and align instruction accordingly. In addition, it is important to truly personalize the learning as much as possible to the student's interests so that the student feels connected to the material and will remember it better. As a tutor, I am passionate about what I teach and here to support the academic needs in math and science through engaging, interactive lessons. It is my goal to help the student build confidence in these subject areas and enjoy learning!
