My name is Hannah, and I'm an avid reader and writer whose passion is using the written word to bring clarity and hope to other people. I love sitting down one on one with others to discuss ideas, literature, and self-expression, and learning what communication styles work well for others.

I recently graduated with my bachelor's in English from Colorado Christian University and returned to my hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to intern with a publishing house and have hands-on experience with editorial work, including proofreading book manuscripts, writing blog posts, and laying out templates for publishing.

My current role as social media manager for a law firm combines the writing skills I've developed with a creative curation element. I love combining photos and messages to brighten someone's day or highlight a service.

My communication style, and my mentoring style, is based in listening and connecting with others' needs and where they are in the process. I want to get to know students before advising an approach to a project or test, as every student's personality and starting point is unique. From there, I like to pace sessions according to how quickly concepts are grasped, and give the student ample opportunity to demonstrate their own expertise after we've covered a concept. I believe in learning both by seeing and doing, and want to empower students to take ownership of their gifts and abilities as they are strengthened.
