I'm a dedicated and patient tutor with over 20 years of experience helping students build confidence and skill in math. My specialty is working with middle and high school students who struggle with Algebra and Geometry. I enjoy breaking down tough concepts in a way that makes sense and helping students feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.

I began tutoring as a volunteer in Baltimore and Durham, supporting both youth and adults with reading and math. That experience taught me how to adapt to many learning styles and needs. Before tutoring full time, I spent nearly two decades as a molecular biology researcher at Johns Hopkins and Duke University. That scientific background helps me bring a logical, problem-solving approach to every lesson.
