I graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in computer engineering. While at Northeastern, I tutored college level physics and math as a CRLA Level 2 tutor.
When I began my courses at Northeastern, I could not have been more thankful for all of the teachers and mentors who helped me to become the student I am today. The extra time I took to solidify my understanding of certain topics has been so helpful, providing a strong base on which I continue to build.
I love learning and hope to help students find and build on passions for academic subjects that can be so fun to work with. Personally, math has been my favorite subject since elementary school and continues to be a topic that I love. Through the years, academic learning continues to build on itself. I believe that it is important to help students ensure that they have a solid grasp on what they are learning now so that they can add to it in the future and see how far their studies can take them.
As STEM fields continue to grow in importance, there is a sharper focus on math-related subjects. While these areas of study are critical, one cannot forget about other subjects that help students become well-rounded. For me, my focus is on practicing good grammar and learning how to communicate well. Others won't know of your great inventions if you don't know how to share your ideas and explain them well.
