I got started tutoring when a professor at my university recommended that I apply to be a writing fellow, where I would periodically join English classes and work with the students in small groups on their writing. Through that, I found I enjoyed the work, and now I'm starting a graduate program in the fall and I expect to be teaching my first class next spring.
Writing and communication skills are important for anyone in any discipline to have, and I hope to be able to help others hone those skills.
