I am a high school biology teacher and natural storyteller with a talent for engaging any student at any level. My role as an educator is to inspire critical thinking and scientific literacy, and I do so by imparting factual knowledge in the context of real world situations. I am most passionate about biology and environmental science, but I am interested in almost all subjects. I've travelled the world and lived all over the US, so I can speak to a wide range of natural wonders that I've seen first-hand. I obtained a PhD in Entomology at the University of Florida and received my BS in Biology from the University of Oregon. I have published in internationally recognized peer-reviewed jourjournals, and continue to write.
