For the past four years I have been actively involved in the education field. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, I got involved with City Year Los Angeles where I supported students by developing and facilitating small group and one on one lesson plans focusing on English Language Arts and Math. Following my time with City Year, I worked as a Teaching Assistant where I supported an elementary classroom through small group academic interventions. Currently, I am a Program Coordinator for an afterschool program in Hartford where I supervise tutors in their approaches to supporting youth. I am a believer in the power of young people and want to do my part in supporting growth in education.
