Certified Tutor

I am a high school science teacher, and I am excited to help students learn science! Currently I teach high school Biology and Marine Science- I have also taught Chemistry, Robotics, and Environmental Science. My favorite subject to tutor is Biology, because even after all these years studying it, I find Biology to be fascinating.

I have a B.A. in Biology from McDaniel College, and a M.Ed. from the University of Maryland. Prior to teaching, I was a lab assistant at a USDA research facility, working on biocontrol of plant diseases. I have been teaching science for 14 years in various settings- public and private school, small group programs, camps, and tutoring.

Outside of teaching, I spend a lot of time with my 3 kids and husband. I also enjoy reading, knitting, hiking, and camping.
