I am a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso where I received my Bachelor of Science in Education. I received my Master of Education from Sam Houston State University in the area of teaching mathematics. I have 31 years of teaching experience, 20 in the classroom, teaching middle school math, and 11 as a curriculum coach where I worked with teachers to develop engaging lessons in all content areas. Because El Paso is a border city, I have years of experience working with English Language Learners as well as hours of staff development on ELL strategies, I also speak Spanish fluently. In my spare time, I love going to the movies, reading, and playing Rummy. I love working with students because seeing them apply their knowledge is very rewarding.
