I was home schooled my whole life. I graduated high school with honors and am now attending Florida State College at Jacksonville. I'm striving to reach my Bachelor's degree in Education so that I can become an elementary school English teacher. People of all ages need to be able to use English to communicate clearly and concisely. Children are impressionable and if good English skills are instilled from a young age, they'll carry these skills with them throughout their lives. I've been a volunteer martial arts instructor for the past five years now. I've been able to teach people of all ages various aspects of martial arts, from how to properly kick to philosophical aspects such as integrity and self-control. I've also written numerous papers on a college level in both MLA and APA formatting, which has required me to become an adept proofreader and constantly watch out for grammatical mistakes. My philosophy is that all students are capable of excelling. My teaching style involves positive reinforcement to keep students from getting discouraged, and encouraging students to try their best no matter what. One day, I would like to travel the world to see and experience new things. At the moment, I'm still teaching martial arts and continuing to grow myself as a martial artist. I enjoy drawing and photography, as well.
