I recently graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics from the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI, a research partnership between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Physics Department of the University of Maryland), and am currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the institute. My research specialization has been on experimental quantum and nonlinear optics in the Laser Cooling and Trapping Group led by Dr. William D. Phillips (1997 Nobel Prize in Physics) at NIST.

I am always passionate about tutoring high school and college students on the subject of physics. I believe by doing this, I am not only helping them meet their academic goals but also cultivate the next generation to feel passionate about physics as well. I believe my solid background as a physicist and my extensive experience on mentoring undergraduate and early-stage graduate students would make me a great fit to the job.
