I am current a student at University of Virginia Darden School of Business pursuing my MBA. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2018 with a major in Mathematics with a Focus in Statistics and minors in Economics and Psychology. I have always loved helping others learn math - from my younger teammates on the varsity women's soccer team to my little brother in high school to my Little Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters, passing the knowledge of understanding math has been something I have always been passionate about.
Beyond simply helping others with math, I have had experience teaching students and peers about interpersonal violence and how to best prevent it in their lives and on my undergraduate campus. This experience taught me the importance of changing the methods of teaching to the person and really mastering the material before attempting to pass it on to someone else.
As a current student and as someone who has had their fair share of "bad" teachers, I strive to keep students engaged and excited about the material they are learning. By making learning an exciting and fun experience, it makes a subject like math a lot easier. I like giving real-world examples of the subject so students can see how their understanding of the subject will effect their day-to-day lives.
Beyond school, I love playing sports (especially soccer and basketball), running, photography, cooking/baking, and spending time with my friends!
