It is with great pleasure that I am available to tutor children in the DC Metro Area and Online. I believe that my instructional abilities, combined with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic would greatly compliment any parent and child's desire to become more proficient in any subject. In the past couple years I have been named Teacher of the Year of my school district and has transitioned to be the ELA/Reading Instructional Specialist at my school. My role is to ensure that teachers are delivering quality instruction and grow in their teaching practice.

As a teacher, I made every effort to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities and discover what truly inspires them. I aimed to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions while fostering confidence in order for students to realize their full potential.

Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities. I love working with children and will continue to strive to be a positive influence in their lives.

I have come to realize how vital education is in the preparation for young people to achieve success in all endeavors set before them. I hope to instill a love of learning and a desire for knowledge within each student that will last a lifetime.
