I am a student at Brigham Young University (Provo) studying Music Education and a TA in the Physics Department for Acoustics. I've previously worked with elementary age students tutoring in math and teaching private piano lessons and I really enjoy teaching! I've also done two years of calculus, so if your math questions are a bit more exciting don't hesitate; I'm here to help! I can also help you with your high-school level science courses, music theory (including aural skills), or Cantonese. In tutoring, I think the most important thing is helping the student understand things conceptually, and knowing why a problem works the way it does, rather than just knowing the formula that gives the right answer. Knowing what the answer means is just as important.

Some other things I am passionate about include my family, the outdoors, and learning about other cultures. I had the opportunity to live in Hong Kong for two years and hope to be able to travel in Asia again in the future. I think there's something worth learning from every person I meet, and I value each opportunity that comes.
