Certified Tutor

I am a post-baccalaureate student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at the University of Houston.

I did not find my true passion in life until I discovered the talent I had for programming. It's an activity that I find very soothing and fun. My current specialties are beginner Python and C++, but I can also work with Java if need be. As a student myself, my goal is to approach tutoring others in the same way that I would like to be taught: Explain concepts with multiple relevant examples, allow the client to practice on his/her own, then go over what went wrong or right, and how we can expand on the concept to create amazing programs.

As a tutor, I want to provide a positive environment that fosters learning and a desire to do more. I encourage asking as many questions as you need to better understand the concepts we go over. If I don't know an answer to your question right off the bat, be assured that I will research the answer thoroughly and get back to you ASAP. I will also suggest any resources I know that will provide clients with extra practice or more material for learning in general.

At the end of the day, my goal here at Varsity Tutors is to share my passion for programming with others who are also eager to learn and improve. I look forward to working together.
