I was a chemistry tutor in high school and a peer tutor in thermodynamics during college albeit only for one semester. I regret not tutoring more people, because it really was a rewarding and fun experience. If it wasn't for chemical engineering taking up a lot of my free time, then I certainly would have tutored more often.
I have a minor in Mathematics, and I've always enjoyed the math aspect of problems. Solving complex differential equations and integrals was my favorite part of math. Although there is a lot of help you can find online for math, it really helps to solve problems with someone that you can interact with.
In high school, I would participate in UIL Science competitions and I qualified for the UIL State competition in 2012 by earning 1st place in the Regional Chemistry competition. In my Electricity and Optics class during my freshman year at Texas A&M, my raw test average score was at a 90 when the class average was in the 50s. I graduated with honors in Chemical Engineering in May 2017 and was in the OXE Chemical Engineering honor society.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are struggling or simply want someone to work with in any math, science, or chemical engineering subject.
