My desire to challenge, engage, and inspire growth in the students I tutor, stems from the idea that every child has the potential to be great; they just may or may not know it yet.

In my 7 years as a tutor, I have had to opportunity to inspire some of the community's students to be greater than they think they can be. In helping them reach their potential, I was faced with many challenges that were unforeseen. Topics they could not wrap their brains around, ideas that were to abstract to comprehend at their age. But there was always that moment where it all fell into place. The students would suddenly have a light bubble moment.

Those light bulb moments are what make me understand that what I am doing is having an impact.
