Certified Tutor

I am a 19 year old sophomore at Macalester College. I plan on studying psychology and legal studies and intend on pursuing law school. After I finish my college education, I hope to work with the Native American community either near Cloquet, MN or on my reservation in Canada.

In high school, I was approached by my guidance counselor who wanted me to tutor 7th and 8th grade students after school in social studies, math, and science. We would study for a couple of hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also spent a lot of time tutoring one of my mom's students in Algebra 1 and 2. From my experience, there is no better moment that finally grasping a concept I have been struggling to understand and I fully enjoy helping others get to that point!

Other than tutoring, I like to spend my time reading, shopping, and discovering new places. My favorite books are The Kitchen House, The Kite Runner, and The Book of Ruth. I am currently reading 12 Years a Slave and am loving it! I like to shop at thrift stores, Forever 21, and Target. Over the summer, I went to South Dakota with my partner to camp in the Badlands and the Black Hills! It was a wonderful time to discover we are not the camping type.
