I love teaching English and working with others to improve their language skills. I believe communication is the bedrock of success in building relationships, advancing in the workplace, and in enjoying the culture and the world around you. It can be frustrating to have brilliant ideas or want to connect with someone and be hindered by language. My hope is to help overcome the barrier of language and help students succeed through improving their English skills. I also believe in teaching culture along with language to help non-native speakers not simply communicate verbally, but also understand nuance and context of the world around them. I think learning comes best through practice and I give me students a lot of time to practice the skills we are learning in each session.
Outside of teaching, I love to be outdoors running or playing sand volleyball. I love to paint. And, I also enjoy hanging out with my wonderful husband, kids and dog.
