My name is Dane A. Bowman: I am a professor of accounting at Strayer University and a CPA. I am originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. As a Professor, I am curiosity driven and a detail-focused educator with extensive teaching experience. I am always willing to implement and work with traditional as well as new tools and systems for meeting academic goals and objectives. I am equally comfortable communicating with peers and students in discussing issues relating to various areas of education. My teaching experience began in 2005 as an accounting, finance and management assistant professor in the City University of New York (CUNY). My experience is backed by graduate and post-graduate studies in Accounting and International Business at Pace University, New York and an under-graduate degree in Business Administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York. My interests beyond teaching include playing guitar for Caribbean focused music and older traditional American music. I am an avid reader of Fyodor Dostoevsky, Franz Kafka and Albert Camus.
