I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Daniel: Lakewood tutor

Certified Tutor

I'm a rising sophomore at Williams College (B.A. track) and a graduate of Horace Mann School. I tutor math, writing and test prep (SAT/ACT) in Westchester and parts of New York City. I spent two years tutoring Edgemont and Scarsdale High School students and spent the summer of 2017 as a mentor for Summer on the Hill at Horace Mann. As a tutor, I try to show students several different approaches to any task they are faced with, whether it be solving a math problem or organizing an essay. This way, students can find the method that best suits their learning style. Furthermore, they not only learn how to address the individual task but also begin to understand how to approach similar tasks, acquiring skills that can be useful in the future. Outside of academia, I enjoy playing guitar, running, biking and watching sports.
