When the topic of academics is considered, academics isnt only about subjects but also characteristics of school related capability. My motto in life has always been Success is 99% diligence and 1% intelligence. Throughout my school years, I have consistently proven to be a hard worker in all aspects of life, in which academics plays a major role. The most important part of being a hard worker is to preserve through all trials and never give up. This is what helps me build upon my skills and motivate myself to score higher and push myself achieve great heights. It is not only valuable to be a hard worker, but also to be an efficient worker or productive worker. While I always try to strive for quality of work, I also know how to competently prioritize my academic work in order to complete it in time and remain punctual.

More academically, my strengths would be biology, psychology and chemistry. I would define these as my strengths because besides from performing well in these subjects, I also possess a deep interest in the workings of the universe, a majority of which is clearly explained by a combination of these subjects. My persistence and genuine interest in these subjects enable me to relate well with life and its complexities.

An apt one-word description of me would be a people-person. One of my supreme strengths is I can work well independently and as part of a team. Ive always been told that I have the capability to take on a leadership role when circumstances require because I really enjoy working with people and motivating individuals. Falling under the privileged sections of society, I believe its important that an individual gives back to society what society has given to them. In the month of August 2014, I proposed to a friend my idea of creating an NGO by the name Theory of Change that aims at eradicating one of the pressing issues of India today: poor sanitation and hygiene. I was able to create an official NGO that visits government schools regularly, imparting knowledge of the importance of proper hygienic conditions. With help pouring in from friends and the rest of the team, together we were able to create Theory of Change that has raised $6000 in funds for these schools. I also participate in numerous other social activities including volunteering at government hospitals, with an NGO Happy as well as monthly sessions on women empowerment through a circle I created inspired by Lean In Circles. I see myself as an overachiever because along with striving towards academic excellence, I am able to juggle multiple extra curricular activities ably shining in dance, swimming and volunteer work.
