Meghan: Waterbury tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduating senior at Washington University in St. Louis, finishing a degree in Art History, Psychology, and Writing, and I am currently Pre-Law. I am very excited about pursuing tutoring opportunities until I leave for Malaysia in December to teach as a Fulbright scholar!
I am passionate about writing and equally passionate about helping others to express themselves through writing. As a teacher for the Teaching Artists Program, I learned pedagogical techniques in writing and implemented them in an elementary school classroom. Our program received a grant from Washington University to then publish the students' work.
In the past, I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Summer Experiences at Wash U, assisting both middle school and high school students primarily with essays and personal statements.
In my free time, I enjoy chasing new experiences, especially outdoors. I am an avid backpacker and former leader of the Wilderness Project pre-orientation program at Washington University. I currently work at a yoga studio as well. When I'm not being active, I love to read anything I can get my hands on!
